Milwaukee FSET operates in Region 2 of Milwaukee County, the state’s largest FSET region

Upon enrollment, we work with job seekers such as yourself to identify your strengths, needs, and career preferences and offer individualized services to improve job seeking skills and increase employment opportunities. This goal is achieved by providing job search assistance, work experience, job fairs, education and vocational training, self-employment, and job retention services.

Our success in Wisconsin is reflected in the fact that nearly 10,200 participants secured employment within one year of Maximus beginning operation of the FSET program in Milwaukee. More than 1,000 program participants were placed into an education or training program. With the assistance of the job developers and Business Services unit roughly 50 percent of the participants obtained employment in their field of training.

We have extended our outreach efforts through partnerships with community based organizations, local technical colleges, and third-party providers. As a result, the Milwaukee FSET program has ranked among the top five in the state for the following performance areas: average enrollment, participant participation, supportive services offered, and contacts made.
